While in Whistler, I wanted to cozy up by warm fires and relax. Of course I wanted to hike around and ride the lifts – including the Peak 2 Peak Gondola – but my ultimate goal was to just unwind.
With that being the case, where better to stay than The Four Seasons?
When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted by the friendly valet attendants who quickly assisted us with our car and luggage.
As we walked inside, my eyes excitedly darted around the lobby. The resort is beautiful and features interesting art throughout the public areas. The contemporary décor and art showcased around the resort creates a trendy vibe and inspires you to roam around see what other conversation pieces you can find.
At the check-in counter, we were quickly helped by the kindest employee who got us all settled in. I’m greatly bothered by the fact that I cannot remember his name.
When we arrived at our room, I was shocked to see how spacious it was. The space was really quite large and felt more like a suite. I laughed as I saw that the closet was almost as large as my bedroom at home.
The bathroom – which included both a shower and large bath – was beautiful and tastefully designed. Who would expect anything less at The Four Seasons?
Our room also featured a fireplace, which we enjoyed numerous times throughout our stay. There’s nothing like taking a relaxing bath, cloaking yourself in a luxurious Four Seasons robe, and relaxing by a warm fire. Yep, that was my wild Saturday night in Whistler!
Additionally, our room boasted a private balcony that provided us with the perfect place to enjoy the cool weather in the early morning.
Also, the Nespresso and complimentary capsules were greatly appreciated.
I had the deepest sleep of my trip while at The Four Seasons Whistler, and I have no doubt as to why. While I love to travel and engage in new experiences, I’m a horrible sleeper and an overall anxious person. If I feel comfortable and relaxed enough to sleep well at a hotel, that says a lot.
I’m not surprised I was able to rest so easy while at this resort, as I have a deep sense of trust in The Four Seasons brand and feel at home while at their properties. Plus, their beds are always incredibly comfy.
After waking up from a glorious sleep and enjoying some cool weather on the balcony, we made our way to Side Cut – the fabulous restaurant that’s at the resort – to enjoy their breakfast buffet.
I – as usual – enjoyed the food far too much and was incredibly full by the time we left. The food was excellent, and the service was just as outstanding. In fact, I was impressed with how kind and patient the employees were when serving a couple sitting next to us who had some very demanding requests for their meals. I know the employees at The Four Seasons are always amazing, but really, I commend the servers for going above and beyond to meet the needs of everyone. “No” or “sorry we aren’t able to accommodate that request” was never uttered. Instead, the staff fulfilled all of the requests while smiling from ear to ear.
When it came time to check out, the same friendly and helpful employee we had spoken with the day before assisted us. He took the time to give us detailed recommendations for exploring the nearby mountains. We took his advice and the plans worked out perfectly.
After checking out, the staff made sure to let us know that leaving our car with valet for the day while we finished exploring Whistler was totally fine. In fact, the valet attendants loaded up our car with our luggage for us so that we didn’t have to worry about lugging our bags around all day. They also made sure we had bottles of water to take with us while we explored the area.
I had a perfect experience staying at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler. I’d love to visit again in the winter and indulge in some après-ski fun.
