If you want to enjoy some unique coffee by local roasters, I recommend you head to Reykjavík Roasters.
We stopped in at cozy Reykjavík Roasters one cold morning before we headed outside of the city for the day. The boyfriend got a coffee, and I ordered a hot chocolate.
While we waited for our drinks, we looked around the shop and found all types of cool goods for sale. Local coffee by the bag, chocolate bars, and coffee makers can be purchased.
I really loved the calming and artsy environment inside this café. Customers were sitting around reading and enjoying their warm drinks. I could have sat there and enjoyed the ambiance all day.
When it came time to take my first sip of my hot chocolate, I was beyond excited. I am obsessed with hot chocolate and love to enjoy a cup whenever it’s cool out. This cup of chocolatey goodness was the single best serving of hot chocolate I’ve ever had. It was so light and frothy — I had never had anything like it.
I’m not exaggerating when I say I often think about this decadent yet airy hot chocolate. In fact, I wish I had some right now. *Updated* I’ve returned since my first visit and enjoyed yet another decadent hot chocolate.
If you are in the Reykavík area, be sure to check out Reykjavík Roasters for delicious coffee, hot chocolate, and other treats. *Updated* Reykjavík Roasters now has three different locations. The photos from this post are from their Kárastígur location.
