Our Second Stay at Black Pearl Apartments in Reykjavík, Iceland

We had such an amazing experience the first time we stayed at Black Pearl that I made arrangements to stay there again during our second trip to Iceland. I never for even a moment considered staying anywhere else. Black Pearl’s comfortable beds, spacious living rooms, full kitchens, spa-like bathrooms, friendly staff, exclusive parking garage, and ideal location will always keep me coming back for more.

A Special Welcoming 

This trip to Black Pearl was as excellent as our last visit and even more special. The boyfriend and I got engaged while there, and the staff wanted to help us celebrate. They gifted us a bottle of champagne, pink roses, chocolate, and strawberries. We greatly enjoyed all of those treats.

We Were Gifted Complimentary Breakfasts

Additionally, to thank us for being loyal clients, the top-notch staff at Black Pearl treated us to a complimentary in-room breakfast each morning we desired to eat in our apartment. This wasn’t just any old breakfast spread. It included salmon, bacon, eggs (cooked to meet our specifications), skyr, fruit, cereal, varieties of cheese, cured meats, veggies, coffee, juice, milk, and all types of bread and pastries. It was so much food! We were able to enjoy the leftovers throughout the day, which was great.

We, Like Last Time, Loved Having a Full Kitchen

And just like our previous visit, we thoroughly enjoyed all the creature comforts in our apartment. I loved being able to easily make some chamomile tea to enjoy while lounging on the couch and reading. Kendal enjoyed being able to use the Nespresso whenever he was around the apartment and wanted some espresso. We also really liked being able to bring treats home from nearby bakeries and easily store them in our large refrigerator. It really is so convenient to have access to a full kitchen while abroad.

The living room was decorated as beautifully as our last one was. It was such a comfortable space to relax in. Kendal and I watched a couple of good movies and toasted to our engagement while relaxing on the couch with the champagne Black Pearl gifted us.

The Most Comfortable Bedroom

I slept incredibly well each night in our wonderful bed. How well I sleep somewhere is the greatest test of how at home I feel, and I feel extremely at home at Black Pearl. It also didn’t hurt that the sheets were so soft, and the pillows were so fluffy. The flat screen TV in the bedroom also helped, as I almost always rely on the television to sing me a sweet lullaby to sleep every night.

We Made Sure to Enjoy the Balcony During this Trip

This trip, we even utilized the large balcony. Kendal really enjoyed having his morning coffee out there while reading.

I Always Say Yes to a Hot Shower & Heated Towels

And last but not least, the bathroom was as dreamy as I remembered it to be. If you like hot showers and heated towels, you’ll be in heaven while in a bathroom at Black Pearl. Their restrooms provide a spa-like experience that is incredibly enjoyable.

After our second trip to Black Pearl, we have fallen even more in love with these apartments. They really have become our home away from home. I can’t wait to go back! *Updated* We’ve stayed at Black Pearl again since I wrote this post, and I’m just as big of a fan of the apartments now as I was when I wrote this post.
